STYLE IN SKETCHES // Iekeliene Stange

I still decided to put this erm, interesting sleeping bag outfit in the Style in Sketches section, because it would be typically Stange for her to dress up in such an original way in real life. Maybe I'll create an inspiration post evolving around her personal style, because her way of dressing would definitely deserve that. I hardly ever see her show up on blogs but she has a unique sense of fashion.

I used regular 4H to 6B graphite pencils for the sketch, outlined it with black POSCA acrylic markers and painted the whole thing with water colour paint. Finished off the highlights with a white POSCA acrylic fine liner.
More Style in Sketches to come!

STYLE IN SKETCHES // White blazer
Never thought I would actually be able to continue an art project.. Behold: the second part of the series Style in Sketches, and this time I have focused on
one of my biggest loves at the moment: the white boyfriend blazer.

You might have noticed that I have been wearing mine quite a lot lately - moreover, I have been wearing it to the point that it's showing tears and ripped fabric everywhere.
I wouldn't mind replacing my old blazer for this brilliant item from the Viktor & Rolf men's line.
Found the picture in GLAMOUR magazine. I used multiple pencils in the range of 2H-4B and finished it on my laptop by adding digital watercolour with my Wacom tablet.
Hope you like it! If so, I might continue this little series.

STYLE IN SKETCHES // TURBAN
I wanted to introduce a new topic to you guys: I am going to select a few trends I am especially fond of and will be making a sketch of them. I used to make a series of blogger portraits and I might start on that series as well if I get the chance to.

I love how the turban is coming back into the fashion scene. I already scored a vintage woolen turban in 2009, but I was actually looking for an 'indoor' turban.
Therefore I was so happy to score this velvet burgundy (velvet! burgundy!!) piece - see me wearing it here.
Now I'd like to treat myself with a turban I can wear during the warmer seasons as well - I heard River Island had some pretty gorgeous pastel tinted turbans. Or maybe I should get a little bit wild by getting their leopard printed style? Who knows..
Sketch made with traditional pencils, watercolour made with Painter + Wacom tablet.

ART // VINOODH AND INEZ.
I think I have been missing out on a lot these past days.
As some of you might know, I have been allowed to study medications in Amsterdam this year. It's made me a very happy girl - but also an exhausted student!
Everything has been extremely time-consuming.
It's hard to keep up with university, work, maintaing old and establishing new friendships among fellow students.. Not to mention my blog, I've been neglecting it so much lately, so sorry! Just know that I read every single comment I receive, I'm so thankful for all of my dear readers!
You make my day. ♥
To make up for all the neglect, I'm going to organize a little something for you sometime soon.. We've got something to celebrate, I've reached over 300 readers! (Together with the my lovely Bloglovin' readers I'm almost hitting 400 already!!) Thank you so much for the support, every one of you!

The exposition of Inez van Lamsweerde & Vinoodh Matadin at FOAM Amsterdam (I got there just in time! Last day of the event) allowed me to have a moment of tranquillity. I enjoy watching talented people's work. And as you can see, I love doing so on heels.

Love this series of self portraits from Inez. Had to participate myself in front of the empty bed version :)

LIFE // Paris pt. I.

the Louvre, with it's famous Mona Lisa and one of my favorite statues in the Louvre, the Venus de Milo.

I didn't even know that they had a statue from the Easter Island in Paris. it was very impressive.

ancient Egyptian art. I admire the craftmanship of everything the Egyptians used to make..

amazing views from Jardin des Tuileries.

♥.
